Against the Grain Building & Renovating is a custom builder delivering new homes in the upper Blue Mountains, along with renovations, extensions and heritage restorations. For over 15 years the team has built distinctive homes suited to Blue Mountains living, across Katoomba, Leura, Wentworth Falls, Blackheath and the Megalong Valley.

Every project is led by David Spees, Director and licensed master builder (Lic. 225942C) and a member of the Master Builders Association NSW. The team takes a collaborative approach, working with architects or draftspeople to ensure design and construction are aligned from the start. Clients receive thorough quotes, clear timeframes and a fully managed construction process, delivered by an established team.
