  • How long does the process take from quote to delivery?
    Lead times vary depending on the scope of the project and current production volume. Here's a general guide: Initial consultation & quoting: 1–2 weeks Design finalisation & deposit: 1 week Manufacture time: 8–12 weeks (subject to project size, complexity, and current production volume) Delivery/installation coordination: 1 week We recommend getting in touch as early as possible, especially if you're working with a builder or aiming for specific timelines.
  • Do you have a minimum order quantity? Can I just order one window or door?
    We welcome jobs of all sizes! No minimum order applies — every project is treated with the same level of care and craftsmanship. Our clients range from homeowners needing a single window replacement, to architects specifying every door and window for a new build.
  • What is the ordering process?
    Our small team guide you through our easy process – our service is as personalised as our products. Initial enquiry – Share your ideas, plans, or photos with us. Consultation – Discuss timber types, glazing, finishes, and hardware options. Quotation – You’ll receive a detailed quote outlining scope, specifications, and timelines. Approval & deposit – Once approved, we schedule your project into production. Manufacture – Your custom joinery is manufactured by our team of joiners in our Katoomba factory. Supply – We arrange safe transport or collection of your custom order, providing installation and maintenance advice. Install – We offer install across the Blue Mountains and surrounds. If you’re building or renovating, bring us in early! Early involvement helps avoid delays, allows for better integration with architectural details, and ensures your order is ready when your builder is.
  • Can you match existing windows and doors, especially for heritage homes?
    Absolutely. We need reference photos, sketches or samples of existing where possible. We're specialists in heritage reproductions and can recreate exact matches of existing profiles – even the same timber species if required. Combining precision machining with our traditional joinery techniques — including mortise and tenon joints — ensures your new doors or windows will last a lifetime.
  • Do you offer installation services?
    Yes, we offer installation across the Blue Mountains and surrounds. Design & supply is available for Sydney, Central Coast, Central and Southern Tablelands and the Canberra region.
  • Can I choose the type of timber and finish?
    Yes — everything is manufactured to your specification. We offer a wide selection of high-quality, sustainably sourced timbers including beautiful Australian hardwood, Western Red Cedar, and Accoya. We'll help guide you through the best choices based on your location, project type, and aesthetic goals. Options for finishes are: Water repellent (clear finish) White primer (base coat)
  • What glazing options do you offer?
    We supply high-performance glazing to meet both aesthetic and energy-efficiency goals: Single and double glazing Low-E, laminated, acoustic, and UV-tinted options Patterned glass We're experts in integrating energy efficient glazing into traditional profiles, particularly important for heritage restorations or period style homes. All glass is compliant with Australian Standards (AS 1288).
  • Do you offer stained, leadlight or coloured glass?
    We can put you in touch with leadlight artists and trusted suppliers of coloured or stained glass. Their work is then incorporated into your custom window or door units.
  • Do your products meet building codes and standards?
    Yes — all our products are manufactured to meet or exceed Australian Standards, and we’re proud members of WADIC (Window and Door Industry Council). We work with homeowners, architects and builders to ensure your options achieve code compliance in addition to BAL ratings, Green Star, BASIX, NatHERs or the ACT House Energy Rating Scheme Guidelines. All glass used in our products is compliant with Australian Standards (AS 1288).
  • Can I visit your showroom?
    Yes! You are most welcome to visit our Katoomba showroom Monday to Friday. We encourage homeowners, renovators, and professionals to visit — you’ll be able to see our joinery details, timber samples, hardware and glazing options in person.
  • Do you only work with architects and builders, or can homeowners contact you directly?
    We absolutely work directly with homeowners, as well as with builders, architects, draftspeople, and design professionals. Whether you're managing a renovation yourself or collaborating with a professional, we're here to guide you through your options and ensure your timber windows and doors are a perfect fit. If you're unsure where to start, we’ll help you through the technical decisions — from selecting timbers and glazing to choosing finishes and hardware.
  • Where do you source your timber?
    We manufacture using both imported and Australian timbers sourced from accredited suppliers who offer The Forest Stewardship Council and Rainforest Alliance products wherever possible. ​ FSC is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organisation established to promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of forests in Australia and countries supplying the Australian forest products market. ​ The Rainforest Alliance offers forest product companies voluntary independent third-party verification of legal status for the sources of raw materials for their products. Certification confirms a sustainable agricultural supply chain.
